The following is an actual conversation that occured between an "almost" 2-year old and his parents. For the purposes of this narrative, we will call the child Garrett. Please note that all of Garrett's lines are delivered in the whiny, slightly high-pitched voice that "almost" 2-year olds have made famous.
Parent: When we get home would you like to take a bath?
Garrett: Nooo baaaath!
Parent: How about we read some books?
Garrett: No read.
Parent: Should we rock?
Garrett: No rock.
Parent: How about some milk?
Garrett: No milk.
Parent: Ok. What should we do when we get home? You pick.
Garrett: No pick.
End dialogue.

Wow this sounds a lot like the conversations in our house. Some wise sage said not to ask yes or no questions, but that sure if a lot of effort.
