actual conversation

The following is an actual conversation that occured between an "almost" 2-year old and his parents.  For the purposes of this narrative, we will call the child Garrett.  Please note that all of Garrett's lines are delivered in the whiny, slightly high-pitched voice that "almost" 2-year olds have made famous.

Parent: When we get home would you like to take a bath?
Garrett: Nooo baaaath!

Parent: How about we read some books?
Garrett: No read.

Parent: Should we rock?
Garrett: No rock.

Parent: How about some milk?
Garrett: No milk.

Parent: Ok.  What should we do when we get home? You pick.
Garrett: No pick.

End dialogue.

This is my favorite place

We had a magical, beautiful night here in the DeClercq home Friday.  Garrett asked for a family dance, and Laura and I obliged.  It was the sweetest family experience with palpable family love.  I was so thrilled by my beloved family that I wished I could have shared it with everyone.  Thus I set about creating this short video to best capture that experience.

This is the family that I love:
