What do these two words have in common?
Peclercu
Mcclurdcq
They are both attempts at spelling DeClercq.
As you can tell from our blog site name, it's cq, we have always dealt with the tragic misspelling of our family name. And to commemorate that we have always talked about setting up a sidebar to chronicle the humorous misspellings.
*These versions of DeClercq were provided by Ricky "Peclercu" "Mcclurdcq" DeClercq.

let him eat cake
Garrett had two very different reactions to cake.
The first was during his birthday party. We think he might have been a little overwhelmed with the pressure.
The second was on his actual birthday. And it involved a chocolate cupcake with orange frosting.
See. Nothing to worry about. He is normal after all. He just needed some time to come down off of the party high.

My little baby boy is almost a year old
My son has been a part of our family for almost a year. Really, that's not much time. Yet, I feel so much more than one year older myself. Still, I can say it has only been a year. A year that has entirely and wholly changed my life, for the better. I can't imagine this world without him.

And here is a bonus
Fun time with Gramps, or El Taco, or G-Pa, and whatever else you want to call that old man.

feeling limey
Despite multiple tries, we could only get one of the lime videos to load to YouTube. We think the other one is funnier, but let's be honest, a video of a baby eating a lime is pretty funny regardless...
We want you to know that I simply held the lime for him; he voluntarily went in for each and every bite.
